End of Summer Garden Parties

The sultry summer days are limited, so why not make use of them by throwing an elegant garden party for your friends and family? Here are some event inspirations for your "End of Summer Soiree"

The food you serve is so important to the success of your garden party. Remember, a well fed guest is a happy guest! Set up some snack stations strategically around the garden for guests to nibble on soon after they arrive.
We recommend serving dishes that are simple but elegant. Interesting summer inspired salads and vegetables with a selection of unusual breads can be prepared in advance giving you time to be hostess with the mostess!

Don't underestimate the importance of a delightful beverage menu at your party. Why not create a summer signature cocktail such as a citrus lemonade with splash of Finlandia Wild Berries or a twist on sweet tea by adding Finlandia Mango. Think fruity, icy and refreshing! Serve drinks in fun and flirty glassware and compliment them with fruit or flowers as a garnish.

Use strings of white Chinese paper lights and hurricane lanterns with pillar candles to create a magical feeling in the garden. Jazz up dull areas by adding extra throw pillows, potted plants and flowers. Creatively make inexpensive but delightful centerpieces for the tables by using fresh fruit such as lemons, limes and oranges.

The atmosphere of your party will be hugely impacted by the music! Put some time into creating a playlist on your ipod of easy breezy listening music. But it might be a good idea to have a back up playlist in case the event turns to a dance party under the summer stars!
