Tip of the Month STAYING HEALTHY

I have a lot of friends that are in the field of Meeting and Event Planning, and they all have the same thing in common....they're SICK.  Not crazy (OK, maybe some...) but literally....ill.

The service oriented profession of event planning can be very draining and when on site at a program, it could over extend an individual.  I myself have experienced conferences that consisted of 12-14 hour, back to back days that could extend for over a week at a period. As much as planners are miracle workers, we are not invincible and need to remember that.  Once the adrenalin wears down, you are working on nutrition from the mid-morning conference buffet and post-event desserts.  The tip of the month is to take time to keep yourself healthy, and remember to do the following:

1. Take a deep breath and exhale
2. Sleep, sleep, sleep
3. Use that expense account for a well deserved SPA visit
4. Delegate
5. Take daily moments for yourself
6. Air Borne & Emergen-C are your best friends!

Yes, I'm starting to take my own advise....."ahhhhh chew, cough....cough, sniff"
